Converting to zOS 1.2 from OS390 2.4. Now, the TSO bypass and automated logon doesn't seem to work. We validated that TNDEFLD1 was assembled and linked AMODE24 and RMODE24 into a LNKLST library and IPL with CLPA was done. Director's configuration looked fine, too. Recommended client get to USSMSG10 and issue LOGON userid/password. If TSO prompts for password, the exit is not installed properly. If TSO logs straight on, it's likely the Director's configuration parameters have some problem. Client will try the Logon and call back.

Client called in again without ability to use USS logon. However, we were successful at issuing LOGON userid/password ABEND2 from the TSO READY prompt and TNDEFLD1 did cause SDUMP with S0C1 (as expected, if TNDEFLD1 is properly operational). Therefore, it would seem that this is a Director configuration issue (the theory being that the proper syntax is not in place to send the formatted CINIT RU to TSO). The Director support staff will contact us to continue diagnosis.

No contact made...our assumption is that the Director support staff made an adjustment and the problem went away.
