Commentary

Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 03:03:43 am    This PTF no-ops the TRANSLATE of the password as it exists in the SSI and SSX data buffers being transmitted to the Subsystem via SSI protocols. BEWARE! The subsystem itself must still deal with the decryption logic involved. Thus, NRS strongly recommends the use of SSI=Extended to activate the Encryption flag in the SSX and eliminate reliance on the password string itself.
