NRS6289: Abend S0C4 in TNCUTIL using ++LOAD

Friday, February 6, 2004 at 08:43:30 am    Customer was transferring Access rules from one system to another using the ++UNLOAD and ++LOAD features of TNCUTIL. Attempt to ++LOAD rules onto the Network Data File resulted in an Abend S0C4. Dump and copy of the input data was requested.

Friday, February 6, 2004 at 08:48:30 am    Dump and input data was received. Was unable to reproduce problem by updating a test Network Data File with the customers input data stream. Examination of dump revealed that Abend was occurring in TNZFADD when an attempt was being made to add a new record. During the search of the FIB looking for record keys the search went beyond the end of the FIB (and poosibly the virtual page boundary). Test for the end of the FIB was occurring after the key search. The logic should have been reversed. PTF TNC18214 was developed to address this problem.
